Spear Motors Limited is the sole distributor of Mercedes Benz Chrysler and Jeep vehicles in Uganda for over 40 years and we would like to recruit a qualified candidate to fill the vacant position below;

Position Title: Accountant

Duty Station: Kampala

Reports to:FINANCE & ADMIN MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist the finance and Administration Manager to provide management with financial information and reports required to make timely and accurate strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

·              Prepare financial statements that conform to IFRS

·             Ensure that accounting policies, procedures and practices are followed

·             Preparation of monthly management reports

·             Ensure that all accounting transactions are accurately and promptly posted according to sound accounting principles and standards

·             Prepare Monthly cash flow statements

·             Prepare annual budgets by coordinating all departmental budgets

·             Reconcile all creditors’ and debtors’ accounts and ensure that all outstanding balances are supported by invoices

·             Prepare Monthly creditors and debtors ‘ageing analysis

·             Ensure proper costing of company products and services

·             Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements

·             Supervise payroll preparation

·             Prepare monthly budget performance reports explaining all variances

Qualification, Experience and skills required

·             A Bachelors Degree in Accounting

·             CPA/ACCA fully qualified

·             At least 5 years experience in a similar role

·             High level of computer literacy

·             Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills

·             Must possess high level of integrity

·             Must be proactive and innovative
